Animation baking with viewport disabled reduces baking time considerably (500 frames 200s => 2s).

paneLayout -e -manage false $gMainPane;

I finally wrapped this into a context manager to restore the viewport even if the bake raises an exception.

I’d add “Additive Graphing Mode”. It changes “Replace graph with input/output connections” to “add I/O” which makes following a graph much easier.

Also you can add I/O connections for a *single attribute* like this:
